LJ Smith Accountants Ltd began trading in March 2007. The firm however is built on decades of practising experience in the Hungerford & West Berkshire area that started over 40 years ago. We have individually helped and supported many businesses in that time and plan to do so for several years to come.

We have always prided ourselves on the level of personal service that we offer in helping you and your business. This means that you will have contacts within our small team that can always deal with your email or phone call promptly. This ensures we always have knowledge of your whole business at any time and are not split into departments for tax or accounts that can lead to a loss of communication or knowledge between them. In working for you we will look to always ensure you gain any advantage through sensible tax planning or changes in legislation rather than simply just complying year on year.

Our organic growth since commencing without an over reliance on marketing and promotional activities proves how much our clients value our personal service and support to the extent that we are often referred to friends and families throughout not only the local area but across the south of England.

We aim to build and maintain an excellent relationship with all our clients, providing them with a full added value service, not just restricted to accounts or tax matters. We also understand that clients expect a cost effective service and can be flexible in the way we charge for our work. This can be annual quotes agreed in advance and payment plans by standing order or direct debit to suit each individual client.

All new or potential new clients are offered a free initial consultation to discuss their requirements and allow us to explain what we can offer them. We look forward to hearing from you.

Orwell House is situated on the right, towards the top of the Hungerford High Street, as you go up the hill. There is usually parking, on a meter, available close to our office and we are only a short walk from the station.
